Update on Golden State Pathways
December 14, 20232024 Linked Learning Youth Survey Points to Education Priorities Pivotal to Golden State Pathways Program Implementation
September 20, 2024Funding opportunities for the Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) and Round 2 Dual Enrollment grants (CCAP and Middle/Early College) were just released by the California Department of Education (CDE).
CDE is hosting the dual enrollment grant RFA technical assistance webinar on February 7 at 1 p.m. Register.
GSPP seeks to develop or expand college and career pathways in technology, health care, education, climate-related fields, and other high-wage, high-skill, and high-growth industries. It also requires that the pathways provide opportunities to earn at least 12 units of early college credit through College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) dual enrollment or AP/IB courses.
Colleges can join a GSPP regional consortium with a K-12 school district as lead applicant; consortium grants range from up to $2 million to a max of $4 million, depending on the number of partners. K-12 districts can also apply for planning grants (up to $200,000) or implementation grants (up to $500,000).
The GSPP RFA webinar is on February 13 at 1 p.m. Register.
The RFA windows for CCAP and GSPP are roughly in sync—GSPP applications are due March 19 and CCAP applications are due March 29. This can support efforts to plan a comprehensive approach. College/high school partnerships can use GSPP, CCAP dual enrollment, and other related funding streams together to support development and implementation of high-quality, equitable college and career pathways.
